John Emory Bovee was born on the farm in Kingsville township where he since lived on May 1836 and died at the same place July 31 1902. He was united in marriage with Emeline Fox Jun 29, 1865. To them were born two sons, Frank M. and Herbie H. The latter died when about thirteen years of age. Mr. Bovee united with the Kingsville Methodist Episcopal church in 1888 and continued a very faithful member and official in the same until death. He was universally regarded as a sincere Christian and an exemplary citizen. Though very quiet and unassuming in his manner, he exerted a wide influence for good. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday afternoon by Rev. J. M. Keck and Rev J. P. Krum.
