Melvina is survived by her son, Michael Irigaray and grandchildren, Diana Tolbirt and Robin Chamness and great grandchildren Sean, Rachel, Abbye and Sara. She is also survived by her first-born son, James Austi, born in San Francisco. Melvina was preceded in death by her late husbands, Jean Irigaray in 1978 and John Baie in 1998.
