ROANOKE -- Nettie Ellen Zoss, 88, of Maple Lawn Home in Eureka, formerly of Roanoke, died at 9:58 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, at the home.

Born April 10, 1908, in Harper, Kan., to Christian and Emma Unzicker Ulrich, she married Raymond A. Zoss on March 23, 1926, in Linn Township, Woodford County. He died Sept. 18, 1971, in Peoria. One grandson, four brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Eugene C. of Roanoke; one daughter, Mrs. John (LaVern) Kennell of Roanoke; one brother, Raymond Ulrich of Palmetto, Fla.; one sister, Velma Hostetler of Eureka; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Linn Mennonite Church in rural Roanoke.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at her church. The Revs. Rick Troyer and Steve Ulrich will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at
Remmert Funeral Home in Roanoke and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery.
