He was born in 1953 in Carlsbad and graudated from Carlsbad High School in 1972. He served in the National Guard, Navy and Army. He worked as a carpenter apprentice and was a member of the Carpenter Journeymen and Apprentice Union.
He is survived by his wife, Vera, Roswell; a son, Adan Daniel Segura, Roswell; a daughter, Evelyn S. Segura, Carlsbad; his parents, Matilde and Micaela Segura, Carlsbad; two brothers, Abel F. Segura, Carlsbad, and Jerry Segura, Dinuba, Calif.; four sisters, Alicia S. Garcia, Lancaster, Calif., Anita S. Rendino and Amelia S. Osorio, both of Carlsbad, and Clara Garcia, Pacifica, Calif.

Rosary for Adan Franco Segura, 32, 611 W. Monterrey, will be said at 7 p.m. tonight in the West Funeral Home chapel. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. at the San Jose Mission. Burial will follow in the Santa Catarina Cemetery. The Rev. Jose Reyes, San Jose Mission, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Montanez, Delfin Hinojos, Brigido Garcia, Elias Osorio, Bobby Dominguez and Gilbert Rodriquez.
Segura died Thursday in the local hospital.
