J. Neal Lott Sr Dies In Columbia
JOHNSTON, SC-April 14, J. Neal Lott, one of Johnston's most prominent citizens died today at a Columbia hospital after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be held at Johnston Baptist Church tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. Lucas Marion will officiate. Interment will be in the Lott family cemetery.
Mr. Johnston (should be Lott) was prominent in religious and civic affairs of Johnston, having been a merchant here for the past 43 years. For years he served as a deacon and secretary of the Sunday School of the Baptist church here.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Watson Lott; one son, J . Neal Lott, Jr., of Louisville, KY, grandson, J. Neal Lott , III, two step children, Mrs. Calhoun Kammer and Lon J. Courtney, both of Johnston, one brother, Claude Lott, Columbia, two sister, Mrs. J.J. Wright, of Johnston, and Mrs. F.C . Dorn of McCormick and a number of nieces and nephews.
