OLD RESIDENT PASSED AWAY
J. W .ANDERSON LIVING SOUTH OF CITY DIED LAST NIGHT
Died Two Hours After He Was Taken to the Hospital for an Operation
J. W. Anderson, who has been making his home lately with his daughter, Mrs. Ben Wainscott on a farm south of this city, died last night at 7 o'clock at the Montgomery County hospital. While Mr. Anderson has not been feeling well for sometime, it was not until last Monday night that his condition became serious. It was decided yesterday afternoon to take him to the hospital tor an operation but he was so weak it was deemed best to postpone the operation until he had regained more strength, but the disease had advanced too far and within two hours after his arrival he passed away.
Mr. Anderson was 50 years old the first day of this month. His wife died seventeen years ago. He was an old resident of the county but about six years ago removed away and only recently returned to make his home with his daughter. Besides Mrs. Wainscott and the youngest child, John who also makes his home with his sister south of the city the children are Dewey, of Gentrys, Ky.; Eva Anderson, San Jose, Ills.; Lyman, living north of Altoona, and Martin, of Wichita.
The time of the funeral will not be announced until all the children are heard from.
Mr. Anderson was held in high regard by his acquaintances and made many friends during the years he lived in this county.
