Obituary.
Warren Hammond was born near Grandview, Ind., April 20, 1826. Was married to his present wife March 4, 1856. Four children were born to them, viz: H.S. Hammond, Mary Norchert, Julia Cole and W. C. Hammond, all of whom survive him except Mary Borchert, who died Feb. 19, 1897. He united with the M. E. church in early life. The family emigrated to Kansas inn 1879 where they have since resided. Mr. Hammond passed out of this life june 25, 1907, aged 82 years, 2 months and 5 days.
The funeral was held from his late residence Wednesday afternoon, Rev. H.A. Doughty, pastor of the M.E. church conducting the services, and the remains were lain to rest in the city cemetery.
The bereaved widow and children have the sincere sympathy of all in this sad loss.
