MERCER -- Laurel Abraham Barritt, 68, died Friday night at a hospital in Princeton. He was a long-time resident of the Mercer area.
Mr. Barritt is survived by his wife, Willalee; four daughters, Mrs. Della Mae Whitley, Milan, Illinois, Mrs. Pauline Pollock, Grinnell, Iowa, Mrs. Ruby Lukehart, St. Joseph, and Mrs. Mary Vinzant, Bloomfield, Iowa; three sons, Jimmie Barritt, Schertz, Texas, Calvin Barritt, St. Louis, and Paul Barritt, Mercer; one brother, Oliver Barritt, St. Petersburg, Florida; four sisters, Mrs. Essie Neighbor, and Mrs. Della Larasom, both of Woodward, Oklahoma, Mrs. Goldie Cox, and Miss Olivene Barritt, both of Mercer; 21 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services at the Greenlee Funeral Home, Lynnville, Iowa, Rev. Harry Brown officiting. Burial in Girdner, north of Mercer.
