"Funeral Rites of Andrew Ogden," (Newman) Newman Weekly Independent, 15 February 1929, p. 1, col. 3.; The funeral services for Andrew Ogden who has been at the county poor farm for the last several months, were held at that place on Monday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Ogden has been in ill health for some time and his death ocurred on saturday evening about 8 o'clock. The burial was at the Albin Cemetery southwest of Newman. Short services were held at the Wesley Chapel preceeding the burial. the following short obituary was read by the Rev. Harold L. Thrall, pastor of the M. E. Church of this city, who had charge of the services.
"Andrew G. Ogden was born April 26, 1851 and departed this life February 9, 1929. He was married in 1883 to Deborah Bender who preceded him in death, twenty eight years ago. He became a member of the U.B. Church at the Otterbein Chapel in about 1900, and has always been a consistent Christian; upright in his dealings with his fellow men and charitable to the faults of others."
