Wylie Robey Sprinkle

Wylie Robey Sprinkle, 93, of Paris, Texas, passed away October 17, 2011 at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Thomason officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2:30 PM at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Paris. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Born October 27, 1917, in Greenville, Wylie was the son of Elisha Perry Sprinkle and Clora Ann (Freeman) Sprinkle. On July 16, 1937, he married Martha Louise Reynolds in Sulphur Springs. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired service foreman from Lone Star Gas Company. He served his community of Leonard as Fire Chief, a member of the Leonard School Board, and a member of the Leonard City Council. He was also a member of the Westwood Church of Christ in Paris.

Survivors include his wife, Louise of Paris; sons Phil Sprinkle and wife Suzan of Dallas and Perry Sprinkle of Paris; daughter Wyleen Coomer of Garland; five grandchildren Tara Sprinkle, Shonna Clark, LeAnn Jones, Melody Garrison, and Ryan Sprinkle; and 4 great-grandsons.

His parents and a son, Bruce Edward Sprinkle, preceded him in death.
