ALBINA CARMEAN was born in Indiana, January 1st, 1832, and died at her home in Leon, Iowa, August 29, l922. She was married to E.M. LOWRANCE, August 4, 1859, who died March l2, l903. She was the mother of nine children, five of whom are now living as follows: SARAH O'HARRA and REBECCA HINES, of Lineville, Iowa, and F.M. LOWRANCE, WILLIAM LOWRANCE and MARGARET BLAIR, of Leon, Iowa.

She was converted and united with the Baptist church in early life and later transferred her membership to the M.E. Church South. She lived a consistent Christian life ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She passed away at the ripe age of ninety years, seven months and twenty-nine days. Honored and beloved by all who knew her According to her request, a short funeral service was held at the home, conducted by W.C. Cozad. She was tenderly laid to rest in the Leon Cemetery to await the resurrection morning.

A CARD -- We desire to express our heartfelt thanks to the many kind friends who did so many things to alleviate our sorrow at the death of our beloved mother.
