Karin E. Kennelly, 70 of Arizona City, Arizona, formerly of Wright County, Minnesota passed away on February 27, 2005. She was born March 31, 1934 in Litchfield to Edward and Evelyn (Nyquist) Slebiska.
She grew up in Maple Lake. As a teenager she took over the household duties for her invalid mother. She was active in her church, in part, as the organist for several years. She graduated from Maple Lake High School in 1952.
On July 16, 1954 Karin Slebiska and Robert Kennelly were united in holy marriage at the United Church of Christ in Maple Lake. This marriage was blessed with four children. They lived in Minneapolis, Maple Lake and Buffalo before moving to Kansas for several years. In 1973 they moved to Phoenix.
For most of her life she worked for doctors. Early on she worked as a lab tech and later she was the assistant office manager for Emergency Physicians in Phoenix.
Karin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two brothers-in-law. Survivors include her sister Deanna Enwiller of Stillwater, OK; four children Michelle (Charles) Hendrix of Stillwater, OK; Robert (Diane) Kennelly of Mesa, AZ; Ronald (Debra) Kennelly of Litchfield Park, AZ and Paulette Kennelly of Arizona City, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held on March 5 at the Greer Wilson Funeral Home in Phoenix. Her ashes will be interred in the Cokato Village Cemetery, Cokato, MN at a later date. Contributions can be made in her honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Cancer Society or the Heart Association.
