SKRENTNER, Donna Jeanne – Age 79. of Fenton, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at Community Home Health and Hospice. Funeral services were held 11 AM Friday, February 8, 2002 at Fenton United Methodist Church, Dr. David W. Truran officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton, MI.
Donna was born May 25, 1922 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Switzer) Trippel. She married Frank C. Skrentner September 15, 1943. She was a graduate of Madison Heights Schools and lived in Bloomfield Hills until 1978. She lived on Main St. in Fenton for many years and has lived on Lake Fenton for the last 18 years. Donna was a member Fenton United Methodist Church, The Garden Club, Joy Circle, and Mary Martha Circle in the First Congregational Church of Royal Oak. She also knitted hundreds of hats for premature infants that she donated to many local hospitals.
Along with her husband Frank Charles Skrentner she has the following decendants: 2 children, James A. Skrentner and wife Sheryl B. of South Branch, MI, Dawne E. and husband Dan A. Sauer of Fenton, MI, 4 grandchildren, Kelly A. and husband Daniel M. Bill, Laura L. and husband Raymond L Venzon, Michael T. Sauer and wife Clare E., Monica L. and husband Paul A. Spiers; 7 great grandchildren, Thomas James Bill, Ryan Daniel Bill, Aria Raelynn Venzon, Peyton Celeste Venzon, Kai Eliseo Venzon, Alexander Paul Spiers & Ella Laine Spiers.
