Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, A. Roy Boulter, 73, of Provo, UT, passed away Monday, January 28, 2002 in Provo.
He was born May 1, 1928 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Ace and Emma Olpin Boulter.
He married Georgia Miner on March 21, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Roy grew up in Price and graduated from Carbon High School in 1946.
He served an LDS Mission to Alberta Canada and attended BYU where he played football and graduated with a degree in business management.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Roy raised his family in Provo, Utah and was employed by BYU and later the LDS Church in the purchasing department in Salt Lake City.
He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings including: Bishop, Counselor in the Stake Presidency, Mission President (Philippines Cebu Mission), and most importantly as a dedicated home teacher. He was an avid BYU supporter.
He is survived by his loving wife Georgia; five children: Rick (Teri) Boulter, Gilbert, AZ; Rexene (Jim) Tilley, Guayaquil, Ecuador; Kim (Stephen) Lyon, Billings, MT; Rock (TruAnn) Boulter, Orem; Roylence (Kevin) Croft, Orem; 24 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include two brothers: Ron Boulter, Wyoming; and Vaughn Boulter, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Lakeside Eighth Ward Chapel, 131 South 1600 West, Provo.
Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church and on Thursday one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
