Another of Butler MO's old residents, Mrs. Mary Ann Reavis, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Maddox, on South Havana street, this city. Sunday evening.

She was born August 23, 1840, in Spencer County Indiana, and had for many years been a resident of this city. Besides her husband, J. C. Reavis, she is survived by three sons and three daughters. They are N. E. Faulkner. Kansas City; Mrs. F. E. McCurdy. of this city; Mrs. G. H. Bartley, Oronogo; this state; Mrs. C. W. Maddox; at whose home she died: 0. D. Reavis. Omaha, Nebraska; and Mrs. W. N. Clemmons, Kansas City.

She was a woman of a quiet, retiring disposition, finding her chief enjoyment in her children and while she did not mingle greatly in the affairs of the outside world her death will be sincerely regretted by those who had been admitted to her friendship. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. B. Moore, of the Christian church, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maddox. Tuesday morning and the body taken to Warrensburg for burial.
