William Henry Hedgepath, 72, died at his home at 406 S. Fourth st. last night.
Mr. Hedgepath had suffered from a heart ailment for the pats tthree years and has=d been seriously ill for the past seven months.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete this morning.
A native of Rutherford county, Mr. Hedgepath was a son of the late Neil and Ellen Hedgepath. His family moved to Wilson county when he was a child and he was reared and educated in Wilson county public schools. Later in his life, Mr. Hedgepath, a farmer, moved to Davidson county until seven years ago, when he came into Nashville to live. He had been retired for about 12 years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Maness Hedgepath; a son, Frank Hedepath of Nashville; two daughters, Mrs. Ewing Kimbro and Mrs. Leslie Whitley, both of Nashville; a brother, Orville Hedgepath of Antioch, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. M. M. Painter of Antioch and Mrs. John F. Baker of Nashville; and three grandchildren.
