Earlene May (Schackelford) Roper was born May 26, 1935 in Bristow OK, the daughter of Marshall and Sarah Elizabeth (Dotson) Schackelford. She passed away at Madison House on Wednesday April 12, 2006.
Earlene was a loving mother. Her four children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the happy recipients of her loving ways. Earlene was a "jewel of a person" that never met a stranger. In her free time she enjoyed gardening.
Surviving Earlene are her children; Rick Connally and wife Cindy of Bakersfield CA; Leora Baird and husband Greg of Dove Creek CO; Coleen Quin and husband Joe of Delta CO and her stepdaughter Dodie Connally of Monticello UT. Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her sister Ora Garcia of Ceres CA also survive her.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 14th. at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Pastor Mike Farren and Rev. Bud Rousset will officiate. Services are under the direction of The Ertel Funeral Home.
