Irene M. Johnson, 91, Independence, died May 1, 1987, at the home. She was born in Jefferson City and lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Johnson formerly was an inspector for the Loose-Wiles Biscuit Co. for five years. She was a member of the Birchwood Baptist Church. Her husband, Walter A. Johnson, died in 1973. Survivors include two sons, Robert C. Johnson, McLouth, Kan., and Edward L. Johnson, Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Norma C. Gore, Independence; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Park Lawn Chapel
