William married Winnie C. Sledge circa 1902, and they had SIX children that are known of:

Vera Tisdale (1903-?),
Curtis Virgil Tisdale (1905-1950),
Landon Tisdale (1909-1910),
Pearl Tisdale (1913-?),
Noel Calvin Tisdale (1916-1996), and
Lonie Marshall Tisdale (1919-?).

William passed away on 2 February 1948 in Omaha, Morris County, Texas, and was buried there at Omaha Cemetery.
