MRS. ROY SMITH DIES IN MOBERLY; FUNERAL SATURDAY
Mrs. Velma C. Smith, 69, of 417 East Carpenter, died in Community Memorial Hospital at 3:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She had been a patient since Dec. 3.
Born Jan. 1, 1898, in Queen City, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of Henry C. and Ida Miller Ikard. She had lived in Moberly 42 years. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Roy; one daughter, Mrs. Jerome Fleming, Moberly; two grandchildren, Connie and Jerry Fleming, Moberly; one brother, Leo Ikard, Kirksville, and her twin sister, Mrs. A. R. Martin, Onley, Ill.
The body is at the Million and Greer Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel by the Rev. Toney A. Conley Jr., pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
