Jane Blain Farmer, daughter of John Blain, Sr. and Isabella Graham Blain.

In 1851, her family was living in Caldewgate, Cumberland, England, 1861 census finds them still living there, she was then thirteen.

She married James Bellamy Farmer at age 16, on 10 March 1865 in Salt Lake City, Utah; his 4th wife. Their union brought about four children:

- John Blain Farmer
- Lorenzo Blain Farmer
- Isabella Blain Farmer Barney
- Sarah Jane Farmer Larsen

The U.S. Census of 1870 finds her and her family in Overton, Rio Virgin, Utah Territory. She was at that time, 22 years old. Rio Virgin County, Utah Territory (or Rio Virgen) was created by the Utah legislature on 18 February 1869 from part of Washington County. It was discontinued 16 February 1872 after a survey discovered most of the county was in Nevada and Arizona Territory.

According to Jeffrey S. Hardy, Harold B. Lee Library at BYU, and our family history; Jane died at age 24 from complications related to childbirth, four days after the birth of her fourth child, Sarah Jane Farmer.
