Dies at Osage City
Bert Leon Landaker, 78, Osage City, died at his home at 5:30 a.m. today following an illness of five weeks. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Mr. Landaker was born Feb. 22, 1878 at Lowry City, Mo., the son of John C. and Alfretta Landaker. He was educated in Lowry City schools. Until his retirement in 1946, he was a stationary engineer with the federal government and worked on the Missouri, Osage and Gasconade rivers. He was a member of the Modern Woodman of America.
He was married to Miss Anna Marguerite Wunderlich on Jan. 1, 1905. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year. His wife survives at the home. Mr. Landaker is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jake Raithel, Jefferson City, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held in local funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
