Richard, 60, of Springport, MI died Monday, December 6, 2010. Mr. Dowling was the son of Thomas and Evelyn (Cornell) Dowling.
Mr. Dowling was the owner and operator of Lake Associates an executive job search specialist. Dick served his community in various ways including Past President of Charlotte Rotary Club, President of the Duck Lake Association, a position he held for 20 years, and the First Congregational Church in Charlotte.
He will be remembered by his friends for his love of tennis, fireworks, and his dry, witty, sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Karin Christine Dowling; son, Thomas Cornell Dowling; sisters, Barbara (Jim) Britt of PA and Martha Hudak of DE; in-laws, Ruth and Dean Harris of Linden, MI and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alyce in 1997.
Funeral services were Thursday Dec. 9 at the First Congregational Church, Charlotte, MI with Reverend Phil Hobson officiating.
