Hearst Services held May 17---Funeral services for Grant L. Hearst, 101, Moscow, were held Wednesday May 17 at the Griffith Funeral Home, Wilton. Rev. Harold C. Potts officiated at the services. Mrs. Howard Murrison was the organist. Casketbearers were Maro Tomasson, Thomas Hearst, James Tomasson, Hal McKillip, Eugene Hearst and William D. McKillip. Masonic services were conducted by Wilton Lodge 167 Af and AM.

Mr. Hearst died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday at Bettendorf Masonic Nursing Home, May 14th. He was born Sept. 9, 1870 at Florence, Kansas, a son of Christian and Anna Grose Hearst.

He lived most of his life at Moscow. He married Anna Valet on Jan. 1, 1894. Mr. Hearst was a general contractor and in later years worked as a carpenter. He lived at the Masonic Home the last eight years.

Survivors include a son, Carl J. Hearst, a daughter Mrs. May Tomasson, both of Muscatine, a daughter, Mrs. Treva McKillip, Atalissa; 11 grandchildren, 41 great granchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1943, parents, one brother and three sisters.

Burial will be in the Moscow Cemetery.
