Arthur Vanderlyn Funeral Today
Arthur G. Vanderlyn, 62, who died Sunday night at his home west of Hartford, was lifelong resident of this vicinity and was well known as a horse dealer and farmer. A weakened heart conditon which had bothered him during the last three years was the cause of his death.
He was born in Wesaw township, Berrien county, Michigan, February 18, 1880, the only son of Mary and George Vanderlyn. The family moved to southwest Hartford when Mr. Vanderlyn was three years of age.
The deceased was a member of the Modern Woodman lodge at Hartford.
He is survived by his wife, the former Louella Brown; one son, Myron; two grandchildren, Donna and Arthur of Hartford; two sisters, Mrs. Coppens of Chicago, and Lulu Cribbs of Three Rivers.
The funeral services were conducted at the Zuver and Calvin funeral home in Hartford at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Wm. E. Goltz officiating. Burial was at the Maple Hill cemetery at Hartford.
