Robert E. Parks, 90, of Knepp Avenue, Lewistown, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at Ohesson Manor.
He was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Cassville, the son of the late Rev. Ezra and Helen (Wright) Parks.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Baker Parks, in 1985.
Surviving are: two sons, Malcolm Parks and wife, Kelly, of Lewistown, Jeffrey Parks, of Lewistown; one sister, Alice Ann Elicker and her daughter, Sue Elicker, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Elaine Parks, Scott Parks, Stacy Parks-Miller, Tasha Parks, Britney Parks, Elijah Parks, Eden Parks and Grace Parks; great-grandchildren, Logan Parks, Emery Parks, Emmett Parks.
Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 203, and Lewistown Moose 143. He worked as a construction superintendent for Pavex Inc. in the Harrisburg area, and finished his career as a consultant. He served in the U.S. Navy as a member of the Seabees during WW II.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Bender officiating. Interment will be at the Lind Memorial Cemetery with military graveside services by VFW Post 7011 Lewistown.
A viewing will be from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Masonic services will be at 1:45 p.m. by Masonic Lodge 203, F&AM. Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church at 101 Logan St., Lewistown, Pa. 17044. Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
