Mrs. Joseph (Julia) Coward, 73, a resident of Tulare for 46 years, died yesterday in a local hospital. A native of St. Clair Tenn. She lived at 221 No M Street for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be held at Goble Chapel Friday at 2 p. m .with the Rev. Otis L. Preddya of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery
Mrs. Coward is survived by her husband with whom she celebrated her 55th Wedding Anniversary Dec 31.; two sons, Lee Coward and Carl Coward of Bakersfield; Two Daughters Mr. Wally (Lois) Albright of Van Nuys and Mrs. C.L. (Effie) White of Santa Monica; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Coward was a charter member and a past-president of the Eagles auxiliary and member of the Pocahontas and the First Baptist Church.
