He was born in Oak Park to Fred O. and Arline B. (Thurston) Bodam.
He was a resident of many years at Stouffer Terrace, a group home in Oregon, Ill. He spent his work days at Village of Progress, a work place for special needs people.
The family is grateful to the staff at these two places for the loving care shown to him.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Bodam; his niece, Julie; and his nephew, Jason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, James Bodam.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
