OBITUARY
Jonathan Lundy was born Dec. 5, 1844, in De Witt county, Ills., and died at Rice, Kansas, June 4, 1915, aged 70 years and 6 months. He was married to Miss Hulda Cochran, in Harrison county, Mo., Dec. 28, 1868. To this union was born twelve children, three of who have preceded their father to the world beyond. Of the living Anga Masten lives at Chandler, Okla.; Richard, at Marshall, Okla.; Lee, at Paola, Kansas; Dora Burnett, at Simpson, Kansas; Jane McDaniel, at Ames; Elmer and William at Rice; Harvey and Oscar, at Concordia. All the children, except Richard, were present at the funeral. Mr. Lundy was a veteran of the civil war, having served in Company E, 43rd, Missouri Infantry. There was a large attendance at the funeral and the floral tributes were profuse and beautiful. Mrs. Lundy is a sister of Mrs. J. M. Harrison, of this city. Rev. Laporte, of Concordia, conducted the funeral services.

Concordia Daily Kansan 04 June 1915 - Old Soldier Dies - Jonathan Lundy died at his home at Rice this morning, June 4, 1915, at the age of 70 years, three months and 29 days. He was born in Illinois and served in the Union Army. He came to Cloud County in 1896. He was the father of six sons and three daughters. Mr. J.M. Harrison of this city is his brother-in-law.
