Deceased Mrs. R H Ellis
Mrs Ellis, an old time & highly respected citizen of this county, passed away at her home. She was 89 years, 9 months & 16 days. She had lived in the county for many years. She was the daughter of the late Mary Fisher & Harman Bailey.
She was married to R H Ellis 9 Oct 1866. To this union were born 3 daughters & 1 son, the son dying in 1884. Surviving are Mrs. Emma Ellen Eggleston Washburn, Mrs. Alener Susan Banks & Mrs. Margaret Izular Patterson, both of Garfield, AR; 14 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren. She was united w/the Christian Church in 1886, baptized by Rev. Green, & lived a faithful Christian life. She was an excellent lady & favorably known throughout that section of the county.
Her remains were laid to rest in Dent, next to her husband.
