A native of Cocke County and son of the late Rufus and Martha Driskill Fox, he was an employee of Smith-Higgins Wholesale Co. and had resided in Washington County since 1948. He was a member of Ray Lodge No. 47 F & AM in Jonesboro, Watauga Commandry No. 25 and Holston Council No. 101, the Thomas E. Matson Chapter 131 and the Kerbella Temple.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leota (Tootsie) Fox; one son, Jack, Morristown; two brothers, Fred, Newport, and Ralph, Erie, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Harble, Newark, Ohio; three grandchildren.
