HART - Orville Jennings Hart was born September 23, 1896, son of Lafayette Everett and Mary Mariah Morgan Hart, on a farm in Warren Township, Lucas County, Iowa. After spending his entire life in Lucas County, he departed this life Feb. 9, 1969, at home in Derby, Iowa, at the age of 72 years, four months and 16 days.

Mr. Hart was united in marriage to Mabel Leota Warbinton, Dec. 25, 1915. He was converted and baptized into the Eden Baptist Church, June 7, 1913.

Surviving and mourning his passing are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise Halls; four grandchildren, Mrs. Barbara (Charles) Miller, Dan, Rene and Mike Halls; son-in-law, Thomas Halls, all of rural route Derby; a brother, Orlie E. Hart, of Portland, Ore., a sister, Mrs. Bertha Davis, of Creston, nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. One brother, Marble William Hart, preceded him in death.

Services were conducted at the Humeston Baptist Church by Rev. Roy E. Jones at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1969 with interment at the Humeston Cemetery. Flower ladies were Mrs. Evelyn Silcott and Mrs. Dorothy Boyce. Mrs. Ann Hitt and Mr. Ron Swedenburg sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond the Sunset", accompanied by Mrs. Herman Joy, organist.

Pallbearers were Owen Clark, Bert Snook, DeVerne Lugar, Holly Pearson, Tommie Silcott and Ernest Davis.
