A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, in the Southridge Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Oregon City for G. Blanche Blakesley, who died Oct. 25, at age 86.
Mrs. Blakesley was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Webster, Mont., and moved to Oregon City in 1937. Her maiden name was Corey. She was a homemaker and a member of the congregation. In 1939, she married Gilbert Blakesley; he died in 1985.
Survivors include her son, Dennis; daughter Chloea Newcomb; brother, Calvin Corey; sister, Gladys Uhas; one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
Internment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. The family suggests rememberances to her congregation's Kingdom Hall. Arrangements are by Hillside Chapel.
