Henry County native Sue Redden Clayton, 84, of Martin died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church between Dresden and Martin, where she was a member.

Terry Griffin of Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in west Henry County.

Chosen as pallbearers are Tommy and Jimmy Rockett, James, Dalton and Jerry Redden and Tommy Babb.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Born in Henry County on March 9, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Dalton Redden and Mattie Redden.

She was married to Pat Rowland, who preceded her in death. She later married J.D. Clayton, who also preceded her in death.

She formerly worked at the Murray State University library.

She leaves several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She also was preceded in death by one sister: Blanche Redden; and seven brothers: Glen, Lloyd, Doris, Joe, Neal, Wayne and Clark Redden.
