Hollidaysburg Register, Hollidaysburg PA, 02 Jun 1847 - MARRIED. On Thursday, the 27th, by the Rev. Mr. RIGHTMYER, Mr. Robert H. McCORMICK, of this borough, to Miss Ellen BENTON, of Williamsburg.

Altoona Tribune, Altoona PA, 02 Apr 1890 - From information received from Cherry Tree, we learn the sad news of the very critical illness of Mrs. R. H. McCORMICK. The friends, many of whom read the Tribune, will please note. Mrs. McCORMICK was partly raised at Cove Forge. Her maiden name was Ellen BENTON.

Found in Hoenstine Card File (Blair Co. Hist. Soc., Hollidaysburg PA), newspaper unknown - Some time ago we made mention of the very serious illness of Mrs. Ellen (BENTON) McCORMICK, wife of Captain R. H. McCORMICK. Her illness terminated in death on June 1st, at 11:50 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. H. CAMP, Ronceverte, West Virginia. Her remains were taken to her home in Cherry Tree, Indiana County, Pa., and there interred. Mrs. McCORMICK was a quiet, unassuming Christian lady and one who will be sadly missed in the community where she lived. She died a consistent member of the Presbyterian church. The many friends of Mrs. McCORMICK will please note.
