Frances Gibbons Kjerner, daughter of William Andrew Gibbons and Lucinda Moomaw, was born at "Cliffside" Roanoke, Va., July 25, 1901 and died April 24, 2005 at the Hermitage, Onancock, Va. where she lived the past several years.

Her husband, John C. Kjerner and brothers and sister, Robert Allen Gibbons, Howard Kemper Gibbons, William Andrew Gibbons, Jr. and Edna Gibbons Seward, predeceased her.

She was a graduate of the College of William and Mary and a member of Belle Haven Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two nephews, William C. Gibbons of Monroe, Va., John H. Gibbons of the Plains, Va.; three nieces, Elizabeth Gibbons Pryor of Suwanee, Ga., Sarah Gibbons Kohler and Ann Drew Gibbons, both of Roanoke, Va.

A memorial service will be held at the Hermitage, Onancock, Va. at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2005.
