Samuel Roberson, yeoman, of the Borough of Elizabeth, Essex County, died testate with a will dated Jan. 4, 1778, which was proved Mar. 5, 1778. He left to his wife Hannah all his personal estate, and after her death, he left the remainder to his youngest daughters, Sarah, Abigail, Mary, Esther and Hannah. To his son David he left 5 shillings. To his son Daniel, he left 10 acres, to be taken off his land along next to Capt. Charles Clark and David Clark. The rest of his land he left to his three youngest sons, John, Samuel and Isaac. He made nominated as his executors, his wife Hannah, and his sons, Daniel and Samuel. The witnesses to his testament were Charles Clark, Jr., Ephraim Scudder, David Ross, Jr. An inventory of his estate, made by David Ross, Jr., and Ephraim Scudder, was taken Jan. 28, 1778.
