Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2000 at West Side District Cemetery for Taft resident Weldon Dale Teel, 68. Rev. Sammy White will officiate.

Weldon was born March 6, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma and passed away Friday, July 14, 2000, in Cambria.

He was a long time Taft resident who graduated from Taft High School in 1950 and Taft College in 1952.

He was employed in the oil industry for 48 years, before retiring from Gary Drilling in 1997.

Weldon had a passion for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. He also loved to attend his grand-children's sporting events, band and drama performances at Taft High School, and do Jig Saw puzzles with his grandsons.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, his daughters and their husbands, his son, 6 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will miss him deeply.

Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
