WOODBRIDGE, Va. - Priscilla A. Bailey, 87, formerly of Lewistown, died at Westminster in Lake Ridge, Woodbridge, Va. on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011.

She was the daughter of the late S. Richard and Mary (Boyer) Smoker. Priscilla lived most of her life in Lewistown. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Bailey in 1977.

Priscilla is survived by three daughters and a son; Anita Wasiko and husband Michael, of Casselberry, Fla., Judie Wohnsiedler, of Woodbridge, Va, Pastor Michael Bailey and wife Jane, of Lewistown, Susan Marrone and husband Michael, of Burke, Va; seven grandchildren, Michael Bailey, Patrick Wasilko, Christen Amspacker, Matthew Bailey and wife Anita, Nicholas and Tyler Marrone, Thomas Wohnsiedler; and two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Owen Amspacker.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Cartes Horning, Sue Hummel, Marian Cummings, Phyllis Ellis and one brother, Samuel Smoker.

Priscilla graduated from Lewistown High School in 1941 and attended Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing through the Nurse Cadet Corps, graduating in 1946. She then served at the Tacoma Indian Reservation Hospital in Washington.

She began her nursing career at Black's Hospital and was then employed for over 30 years at the Lewistown Hospital, serving as the Operating Room Supervisor from 1965 to 1985. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church Lewistown, Lewistown Hospital Nurse's Alumni Association, 20th Century Club and the Menopause Mermaids of the Y.M.C.A. She served for many years as an Assistant Girl Scout leader, helping with troops on the Southside.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Barr Funeral Home, Inc. 120 Logan St., Lewistown with the Rev. Wesley Clemmer officiating. Interment will be in the Wm Lind Memorial Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Wednesday Feb. 16 at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be sent to Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing Scholarship Fund 400 Highland Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044
