Ilene worked at Second National (Citizens) Bank for 22 years until she retired. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association for 10 years. Ilene loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing Bingo, poker and traveling. She was also an avid fan of the Detroit Pistons Basketball Team.
Surviving is her daughter, Bernice (Ron) Thoms of Saginaw; 3 grandchildren, Penny (Todd) Essary of East Tawas, Rob (Narci) Dreffs of McKinney, TX, Mark (Amy) Dreffs of Saginaw; 1 great grandson, Jackson Dreffs of McKinney, TX; special friend of 61 years, Doreen Fuller of Saginaw and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, her son David Dreffs, 4 sisters, Alice Wood, Agnes Reynolds, Ester Diner, Elinor Curtis and 1 brother Jack Oeder all predeceased her.

Funeral and committal services will take place at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2008 from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw Street, Reese. Chaplain Doug Bassett, Hospice Chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
