MRS. SOPHIA LAURILA SUCCUMBS TO ILLNESS
Mrs. Sophia Laurila, 66, a resident of Lead for the past 43 years, died at her home on Park avenue yesterday. She is survived by seven children by a former marriage, her husband, Henry Laurila, and a sister, of Alliance, Neb., who arrived here today. A daughter, Mrs. Lillian Heron, of Butte, Mont. has been here by her mother's bedside for the last week.
The deceased was born in Finland April 14, 1864. She came to America in 1886 and settled for a time in Michigan, later coming to Lead. In Michigan she married Matt Hanula, and to this union twelve children were born, five of whom are deceased. She was married in Lead 17 years ago to Mr. Laurila.
Funeral services for Mrs. Laurila will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Finnish Church on Mill street. The Rev. J.G. Bergquist will be in charge. Interment will be made in the South Lead cemetery.
Mrs. Laurila was an active member of the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran church for many years.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Sophie Laurila, of Lead, will be held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon from the Finnish Lutheran church on Mill street. The Rev. Bergquist will be in charge. Interment will be made in the South Lead cemetery. Mrs. Sophia Odell, of Alliance, Neb., a daughter of Mrs. Laurila, is here to attend the funeral.
