Funeral services for Donald Ray Bean, 73, Caulfield, Missouri, will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Baptist Hill Church near Bakersfield, Missouri under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Bean died 10:25 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born February 13, 1938 at Bakersfield, Missouri to Raymond and Alice Faye Atkinson Bean. Mr. Bean graduated from the Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1953 and on June 2, 1956, he was married at Stevensville, Michigan to Ramona Langston; to this union two children were born, Billy Dwayne and Kathy Ann. Throughout his adult life, Mr. Bean was employed as a dozer operator and truck driver. He worked in the construction of the Cloud 9 Ranch and for the last thirty years, worked for E. H. Carroll Trucking in West Plains. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, turkey and coon hunting; but most of all, he enjoyed deer hunting. He loved getting his family involved in hunting with him; he had great joy in watching his grandkids and great-grandkids kill their first deer. Ramona cleaned many deer in all his years of hunting. On October 9, 2011, Mr. Bean was baptized into the Church of Christ faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Bean, of the family home; two children, Billy Bean, wife, Shelley, Caulfield, Missouri and Kathy Williams, husband, Larry, Exeter, Missouri; five grandchildren, Christopher Bean, wife, Mandy, Caulfield, Missouri, Stacy Kerley, husband, Shannon, Caulfield, Missouri, Wade Williams, wife, Julie, Fairview, Missouri, Alicia Strawn, husband, Scott, Caulfield, Missouri and Donald Lee Bean, wife, Stasha, Caulfield, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Bean, Morgan Strawn, Kaitlin Romans, Emma Strawn, Whitley Williams, Shiloh Bean, Olivia Kerley and Tristan Bean; six brothers, Joe Bean, wife, Juanita, West Plains, Missouri, Gene Bean, wife, Pauline, Caulfield, Missouri, Jerry Bean, wife, Peggy, Bakersfield, Missouri,, Doug Bean, wife, Bonnie, Caulfield, Missouri, James Bean, wife, Mary, Belvidere, Illinois and Lawrence Bean, wife, Betty, Union, Missouri; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bean, Ashburn, Georgia; mother-in-law, Blanche Langston, Caulfield, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, one brother,Elbert Bean and his father-in-law, O. E. Langston, precede him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Baptist Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fair Haven Children's Home and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
