Lois F Peppel
(April 13, 1921 - November 30, 2007)

Lois F. Peppel, 86 of Columbiana, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at Parkside Health Care Center. Lois was born on April 13, 1921, in Signal, Ohio, the son of Ralph and Olive Morlan Dickey.

Lois was a life-long area resident. Mrs. Peppel was a cook at Crestview Elementary School for 19 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir, the United Methodist Women, the Joy Circle of the Church, Administrative Council and she was on the Visitation Committee of the Church. Lois was an avid baker and was known for her pies, especially her butterscotch pie. She also delivered for Meals on Wheels and was a member of Elkton Extension Club.

Mrs. Peppel was preceded in death on July 15, 1974, by her husband, Paul Birdell Peppel. They were married October 11, 1940. She is survived by a daughter Melissa Roberts and her husband Grant of Negley; three sons Larry Peppel and his wife Marsha of Warsaw, Indiana, James Peppel and his wife JoAnne of Columbiana and Jerry Peppel and his wife Alice of Columbiana; a brother Charles Dickey and his wife Lois of Lisbon; thirteen grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by two daughters Linda Meier in 1988 and Rebecca Ann in 1952, a sister Patricia Mercer and two brothers Ronald Dickey and Robert Dickey.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Namy officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that material tributes be made to the East Fairfield United Methodist Church.
