A native of Utica, he lived in Syracuse 50 years. He was employed by the Ternstedt Division of General Motors Corp. for 30 years retiring a year ago.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and the St. Louis Society.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lottie Pilat Ceparski; a son, Robert Ceparski; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Pickering and Mrs. Francis Scaccia of Oswego, and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Bordynski Funeral Home and at 9:45 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Mr. Ceparski's brother-in-law, the Rev. Edmund Pilat, will celebrate a solemn high Mass of requiem. Burial will be in Sacred, Heart Church.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, 1105 W. Genesee St. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow.
