Mr. William Earl Benson, age 77, of Zacks Mill Road, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence.

He was born in Johnston County on October 4, 1931 to the late Charlie and Lola Belle Stanley Benson.

Funeral service will be on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Minshew Funeral Home with Revs. Timmy Blair and Robert West officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving family members are wife, Barbara Honeycutt Benson; daughter, Beverly B. Lawhorn and husband, Charles of Four Oaks; son, Danny Benson and wife Marj Spence of Willow Springs; sister, Peggy Massengill and husband Paul of Four Oaks; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440-A Piney Grove Church Road, Angier, NC 27501
