Lula Beiswanger, 35, was a victim of the Halifax Explosion. Her husband and two small sons also perished.

She was the daughter of Capt. Theodore Harding Griffin and Martha E. Lintlop.

She married Edward Hugh Beiswanger on 13 June 1912 in New Glasgow, Pictou, Nova Scotia and the couple had three sons: Clement Lorimer (1914-1914), Kenneth H., and Everett Allister.

The charred remains of the entire family were found in their home at 47 Union Street. Their remains were shipped to the bride's home in Goldboro, NS for burial.
