Hugh Beiswanger, 34, was a victim of the Halifax Explosion. His wife and two small sons perished as well. He is listed as being a carpenter.

He was the son of Adam and Elizabeth Beiswanger.

He was born in Fisherman's Harbour, Halifax and married Mabel Lulu Griffin on 13 June 1912, in New Glasgow, Pictou, Nova Scotia. The couple had three sons who all died young, Clement Lorimer (born and died 1914), Kenneth H and Everett Allister.

The charred remains of the entire family were found in the family home. They were sent to Goldboro, Nova Scotia for burial.
