James H. "Mike' Buckley
Mike Buckley passed away suddenly while at the home of his daughter in Springfield on Tuesday, July 22, 1997, at the age of 77.
A long time Greene County resident and retired over the road truck driver, he was a member of Masonic Lodge Branson #587 and Abou Ben Adhem Temple. He was a veteran of WW II and was a prisoner of war.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jewel 'Tiny' Buckley, in January 1996; his parents Harry and Maybelle; a brother Ken; and two sisters, Carrie Anderson and Mamie Jordan.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Nicki and Jerry Richardson, Springfield; a son Michael; two granddaughters, Kelli and Jamie; and a great granddaughter Courtney Taylor.
Graveside services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 1997, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
