Doctor John Armstrong was educated in Dickinson College and University of Pennsylvania; completed a medical course under his father's tuition; married in 1825 Mary Susanna Shell and practiced in Dillsburg, York County, Pa. and later returned to Cumberland County and again removed this time to Princeton, New Jersey, were he died.
