Pickett Soldier Dies From Auto Injuries
Camp Pickett-Joseph H Deller, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Deller of (1008 S Braddock Ave), Pittsburgh, Pa., died at a camp hospital here last night of injuries received in a single vehicle accident last Sunday. Deller's parents were at the hospital when he died.
He and 6 other soldiers stationed with the Medical Replacement Training center here were involved in the accident Sunday morning. None of the others were seriously injured.
An Army spokesman said Ruben E Cash of (1325 W Fayette) Baltimore, MD., told authorities he apparently went to sleep at the wheel and the car upset on a highway near Farmville, Va.
